Hallowbaloo Street Festival
Saturday, October 29, 2016 4:30pm – 10:00pm
HiSAM (Hawaii State Art Museum) and Surrounding Streets - 250 S. Hotel St., Honolulu, HI 96813
The Hallowbaloo Street Festival and Hallowbaloo Ball kick off festivities at 4:30pm at HiSAM (Hawaii State Art Museum) and the surrounding streets. We couldn’t be more excited about our return! With iconic landmarks, manicured lawns and expansive tree canopies, the area has the look and feel of a state park and powerful sense of place. It's the perfect oasis for sharing Halloween aloha and enjoying rambunctious rhythms.
Our 2016 lineup of national and local stars is our biggest and best yet including DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown aka Erykah Badu who will be performing at both the Hallowbaloo Street Festival and Club Hallowbaloo. Additional performers on the street festival's main stage include soul singer, TED Fellow and world poetry slam champion, Iyeoka backed by Hawaii's own, Quadraphonix. In addition, seven-string guitar virtuoso, Charlie Hunter, and groovalicious drummer, Scott Amendola, finally make their Hawaii debut after touring the world for over 20 years. The street festival features many more luminaries ready to deliver musical goodness on our main stage, Dance Cauldron stage and Street Cabaret area. Check our Schedule page for a complete entertainment listing and visit our Lineup page to discover great new artists.

Chinatown and Aloha Tower Marketplace Venues
11 Clubs, One Cover ‘til 2am
Advance purchase recommended. Club Hallowbaloo sold out last year and will sell out in advance this year. See button below for online ticket purchasing.
There’s something to suit every fancy at Club Hallowbaloo. With the purchase of one Club Hallowbaloo wristband, you receive access to both the Hallowbaloo street festival and eleven venues with each establishment serving up unique entertainment and energy (click “Entertainment Schedule” button below for full lineup). It’s the best night of the year to enjoy two of America’s best entertainment districts: Chinatown and Aloha Tower Marketplace.
Compare Honolulu’s Chinatown Arts District to any entertainment neighborhood in America, from New Orleans to New York, Portland to Los Angeles, and our very own Chinatown will come out at or near the top of the list time and again. The diversity and passion are unbeatable - entertainment houses of every size, shape & color infused with the unique flair and taste of each owner. No national chains here, instead you’ll find just the opposite - historic storefronts owned & managed by colorful individuals who invest their heart and souls into making each establishment special.
And for the first time this year, we've added Aloha Tower Marketplace venues to Club Hallowbaloo. Located on the water at Honolulu Harbor, few places are of more import in Hawaiian history than Aloha Tower - the original welcoming point for visitors, site of embarkation for Hawaiian royalty as they journeyed across oceans and forged treaties with France, England, the United States and additional countries and also the location of world record breaking performances by Olympic gold medalist, surf icon and Hawaii ambassador, Duke Kahanamoku. With beautiful open air venues providing expansive harbor views, the history of Aloha Tower Marketplace remains palpable.
This year’s participating clubs are:
Ong King Arts Center, Bar 35, Nextdoor, Downbeat Lounge, Manifest, The Arts at Marks Garage, Scarlet Honolulu, Square Barrels, Hooters, Nashville Waikiki, and Gordon Biersch.
Like past Hallowbaloo festivals, there will be a pedestrian mall on Hotel St. between Nuuanu Ave. and Smith St. This area has long served as the unofficial ‘town square’ of large Chinatown gatherings and will once again enable festivalgoers to assemble in the street, reconnect with friends and choose their next direction.
Each Club Hallowbaloo wristband provides access to the venues listed above as well as the Hallowbaloo Street Festival. 21 & older only.PurchaseEntertainment ScheduleDiscover New Artists
